“You’ll see me at most of our lessons overseeing your child’s progress. I’m always very happy to talk to you as parents and answer any questions you have!”
In all of our lessons, we offer small classes, so your child gets the attention they deserve from our experienced teachers. All of our teachers hold a level 2 qualification or higher from either the STA or Swim England, with many of our staff being qualified school teachers. More details on our badge scheme can be found out here.
In our beginner lessons we introduce children to basic water skills and getting them comfortable in the water so they are at ease and most importantly, can have fun during their lessons!
Our teachers are in the water with your child at this stage and giving your child the confidence in the water to swim without aids. Class sizes of up to 4 children, means our teachers can give your child the attention they deserve.
At improver level, the teacher gives your child less assistance in the water and your child should be aiming to swim without any aids by this point. Your child will be introduced to some of the more difficult swimming skills, such as breast stroke kick or sculling. As always though, we aim to keep swimming fun!
At stroke improver level, your child will be doing longer distances and focusing on refining their stroke technique. These lessons will give your child a lot of the skills they need to go on to start to swim competitively with a club. Your child will learn from our enthusiastic teachers who have been or still are members of local competitive swimming clubs. We have the teaching knowledge and skills to challenge your child.
At advanced level, your child will start swimming lengths of our bigger pools and building on their stroke technique and stamina. They will also be introduced to correct starts and turns for each stroke, preparing them for potentially moving on to swimming clubs.
We also offer private lessons where your child can get 1:1 attention from one of our fantastic teachers.
