Children’s Swimming Lessons on the Wirral
Welcome to Hayley’s Swimming School, where we love swimming and above all teaching children a lifesaving skill on the Wirral.
We offer swimming lessons for children from birth to age 11 across four venues on the Wirral: Calday Pool (West Kirby), Stanley School (Pensby), and Meadowside (Woodchurch). Lessons run during term time, with holiday intensive courses also available.
Our teachers are qualified through STA and Swim England, hold enhanced DBS checks, and many are qualified school teachers. Classes are small so every child gets the attention they deserve.

Hayley’s Swimming School has been teaching children to swim on the Wirral since 2013. Unlike larger leisure centre programmes, we offer genuinely small classes — up to 4 children per lesson — so every child gets real individual attention from their teacher.
Our teachers are in the water with younger and beginner children, building water confidence from the very first lesson. We follow a structured badge scheme so parents and children can see clear progress at every stage — from first water confidence right through to advanced stroke technique and competition preparation.
We are a Swim Star accredited swim school, recognised by the STA for the quality of our teaching. Our four venues across the Wirral — Calday Pool in West Kirby, Stanley School in Pensby, Meadowside in Woodchurch, and Foxfield — mean there’s a convenient location for most families on the Wirral.
You’ll often find Hayley herself at lessons, keeping an eye on every child’s progress and always happy to chat with parents. It’s that personal touch that keeps families coming back term after term.
