About this venue
Meadowside in Woodchurch is a popular community venue serving the eastern side of the Wirral. Hayley’s Swimming School runs children’s lessons here on Tuesday and Friday evenings, making it a convenient option for families who find Stanley School or Calday Pool less accessible.
As with all our venues, lessons at Meadowside use the pool privately during our session times, keeping things calm and focused for our learners. All levels from Beginner to Advanced are taught here.

🚗 Getting There & Parking
Meadowside is located at Pool Lane, Woodchurch, Birkenhead, Wirral, CH49 5LA. Drive through the grey gates into the car park.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your first lesson to allow time for changing and finding your way around. If you can arrive “Beach Ready” (swimming costume or trunks on under clothes), that makes things much easier.
👋 Your first visit — what to expect
To access the building through the sliding doors, enter the 4-digit code sent to you each week, pressing # first. This code is emailed weekly — make a note of it as you won’t be able to enter without it.
Walk through the door on the left in reception and follow the signs along the corridor to the changing area. Remove shoes at the bench before entering the changing rooms — leave them under the bench. Buggies and prams must be left in the corridor.
There are lots of smaller changing rooms — please share where possible. Once changed, bring your child’s bag onto the poolside to free up the changing rooms for others arriving. The changing rooms lead directly onto the poolside.
Bring your child to their teacher at the start of the lesson, then sit back down. The poolside is extremely warm — wear thin layers and bring a bottle of water. Please do not leave the building while your child is having their lesson.
No food in the building, on poolside or in changing rooms. Children must not play in the water or around the poolside between lessons. Please use only the poolside toilet — not others around the building. Keep children with you at all times as the school is still a working environment.
Changing rooms are available after lessons — please share where appropriate. Do not put shoes back on until outside the changing area (there’s a bench provided outside). Follow the arrows out of the building.
Girls to wear swimming costumes rather than bikinis. Boys to wear trunks or tight shorts — baggy shorts make it harder to move through the water. Long hair tied back, jewellery and watches removed.

Payment can be made by Direct Debit, bank transfer or cash (cash in an envelope with your child’s name, day/time and date).
