Foxfield – venue guidance

Welcome to Hayley’s Swimming School, below you will find the information you will need when you bring your children for their swimming lessons.

Appropriate swimwear

Please ensure that children are wearing appropriate swimwear. Girls to wear swimming costumes rather than bikinis and boys to wear swimming trunks or tight shorts (the baggy ones just make it harder for them to move through the water). Any long hair tied back and jewellery and watches removed.

 Payments

Details on how to make payments can be found here.

Finding us and parking

69 Newhey Road,

Woodchurch,

CH49 5LE

Drive up to the green gates and they will open automatically.

You will need the code to get back into the car park when you walk back to your car after your lesson. CODE: 1984

When you drive up to the school please drive up to the green gate which will open as your car gets closer, there should be plenty of space.  Once you have parked, walk back out of the carpark and follow the building round to the right, there you will find the main entrance.

What to do when you arrive

Please arrive 5 minutes before your first lesson to allow for changing and finding your way around the school.

Walk through the sliding doors at the entrance and the boy’s changing rooms are on your right.  The entrance to the pool areas is through the door on your right.  There will be signs showing Girls and Boys changing.

Once you have changed your child please sit on the red benches in on the poolside.  Once your child’s lesson has started, please move around to the blue benches.

Shoes must be removed before entering the changing rooms (buggys/prams must be left in the corridor and not taken into the changing rooms).

There are separate boys and girls changing rooms.  Children over 8 must change in the appropriate changing room; children under 8 may use the changing room appropriate to their parent if they need help changing. For example: a five year old boy would use the girls changing room if he was with his mother.

The changing rooms lead onto the poolside, please ensure that children stay with you and do not enter the water until their teacher has collected them for their lesson.

Poolside

Parents are welcome to sit on the poolside, please be aware that the poolside area is extremely warm and there is limited seating.  You may want to wear thin layered clothing and bring a bottle of water.

Whilst waiting for swimming lessons and after the swimming lessons please do not allow children to play in the water or around the poolside (on the hand rails/steps etc.) as there are lots of hazards.

Please do not leave the building whilst your child is having their lesson.

No eating on the poolside or in the changing rooms.

Lessons

Your child’s lesson is 30 minutes long and we provide any equipment [1] they may need during the lesson.

We use back floats, arm discs and woggles (or noodles as some people call them!).

We can’t wait to see you at our lessons!

Thanks,

Hayley

If you have any other questions that I have not covered above do not hesitate to get in touch.

[1] If your child needs to use their own equipment for medical reasons, please contact us before your child’s lesson.
